"The perfect combination of professional and creative."

Composer: The Lionheart, Untold

I’ve worked with Gina for almost as long as I’ve been a composer professionally. She’s always been the perfect combination of professional as well as creative.

Her attention to detail, clarifying and making sure that she understands the intention of the music in order to put meaning into phrases, the articulations, dynamics, etc. is the difference between someone who is technically proficient and someone who stands out as an artist.

On the other hand, she’s always amazed me in terms of her technical proficiency. There were sessions where she shows up to nightmarish technical feats, which she works out before downbeat, ensuring that the first take is perfect.

If that’s not enough of a musical Swiss Army Knife, she also collected and mastered an incredible array of world instruments which are hard to find and very useful as a composer for film/tv.

In terms of recording, she was the first musician I was able to remote record with, before it became commonplace for musicians to have home-recording setups. To this day she has one of the best setups amongst studio musicians.

I’m grateful to have Gina’s playing woven throughout my scores throughout my career, with her sound having become an integral aspect to my style and approach as a composer.
